I'm 18 and I live in Birmingham, England. This is my tumblr's fourth year of existence so I've used it for various things in the past, but at the moment the main things I post are photos I take, and photos by photographers I come across whose photos I love. I love The Bluetones, Muse, and the UK comedy gang. If you were to look at my archive you'd find a 365 days photo project from 2009/2011 and a 72 days photo thing I did a couple of summers ago. I use various other websites to ramble and post photos as well, all the links are up there. ^

Severn Roller Torrent of Gloucester are trying to get as many roller derby leagues in Britain and Ireland to raise money for SportsAid, by collectively skating the distance of the 2012 Olympic Torch relay.

We went to the Birmingham Blitz Dames vs Croydon Roller Derby bout today. It was awesome. The Blitz Dames won.

It was Severn Roller Torrent v Manchester Roller Derby today and SRT won, hooray! By loads, too.
I took loads of photos and borrowing the zoom lens was really worth it. I haven’t sorted through them all yet, but when I have I’ll definitely post some more.

I’ve finished editing photos from the first bout, and I’ve just started on photos from the main bout between the Blitz Dames and Hot Wheel Roller Derby. I’ll post a link to them all on my photography blog when I’m done, but this is possibly my favourite derby photo I’ve ever taken so I thought I’d post it.

Yesterday we went to another double roller derby bout, the main one was between Birmingham Blitz Dames and Hot Wheels Roller Derby (I believe they’re from Manchester) and it was awesome. Blitz Dames won but Hot Wheels were really very good as well.
But the bout before was another mixed bout which mah sistah was in, and it’s safe to say she kicked some serious arse. Jammed for the first time in a bout and got lead jammer and 9 points on her first jam.
And I was sat in suicide seats so I got lots of photos of course. I’m planning on sorting through them today so that’ll probably take me hours and hours and hours…
