I'm 18 and I live in Birmingham, England. This is my tumblr's fourth year of existence so I've used it for various things in the past, but at the moment the main things I post are photos I take, and photos by photographers I come across whose photos I love. I love The Bluetones, Muse, and the UK comedy gang. If you were to look at my archive you'd find a 365 days photo project from 2009/2011 and a 72 days photo thing I did a couple of summers ago. I use various other websites to ramble and post photos as well, all the links are up there. ^

Since it’s my sister’s birthday today we made her a cake in the style of Harry’s cake that Hagrid gives him on his 11th birthday. We couldn’t get the colours exactly right (though they do look worse in this photo than they actually are) and ours is a bit neater on top (I think we need to sit on it) but I still think it’s pretty cool for a first try!

Le sister has once again returned from uni and she wanted some of the coffee cake I made last week, but it got eaten. So we made this better one today, coffee and walnut, and we even made the praline.

Hey I made another cake.
The same one as on Sunday but bigger.
It looks way better now the topping and stuff has dried but I can’t be arsed to take another photo. Plus it’s now half-eaten.
Also, I hate this photo, 5 o’clock in Autumn is a bad time to make and photograph cakes for me since there isn’t much light coming from the window. So it’s all orange and ugly. Never mind. -

Oh look I made another cake.
And it’s delicious, if a little flat (due to lack of ingredients).
It’s got lemon icing in the middle and lemon/sugar crunchy thing on the top like mah lemon drizzle has. I’m going to make it again when we have more ingredients because I really like the lemon icing. -

Just got back from a reservoir place which was alright. Took mah Nikon and mah Trip 35 out and the sun was doin’ its thang, so the actual water was nice but there was a horrible fence thing all around the outside and the walk was blocked off. :| But I think I did get a few nice photos anyway. And now we’re eating the coffee and walnut cake that my grandmama brought round for us for looking after their kitties. Oh yeah.

The cake we made for mah sister’z birthday, three layers, probably the best cake we’ve ever made. Because something nearly always goes wrong when we make them. (I’ve made good ones on my own before though, that might say something…) But nothing did on this one, it was nice n’ risen, it didn’t stick to the tin, and it tasted lavley. -
