I made a banana loaf and it’s really nice. Nicer than the last one I made. And I think it was a personal best in terms of the speed and efficiency of making it.

Today I made these coffee cakes, made with brown sugar and with walnuts and coconut in, and some kind of walnut praline thing we made ages ago on top. Can you tell I basically made these out of the random bits we had in the baking cupboard?

I’m sorry the photo is atrocious, the cakes look nicer in person, when will I ever learn not to make cakes when it’s dark because the lighting just isn’t good enough for photographing?

We made green cookies and watched Network today.

It’s lime time!

I made lime cakes with lime juice in the cake and icing. I love them, so do the parentals. I was planning on making a big lemon cake instead but we didn’t have any lemons which was quite an issue.

Did Halloween stuff today since mah sister’s going back to uni tomorrow so we wouldn’t get chance otherwise. She basically just danced round the kitchen to Halloween songs when we were making the cakes though.

And that’s my pumpkin, carved into Matthew Patel shape. The top part worked, but the bottom half…didn’t. So I won’t be sharing that with anyone any time soon. So yeah, the top bit isn’t too terrible when you look at it next to the particular drawing I was copying from the book. But unfortunately I can’t find it on t’internet and can’t be arsed to get it on ‘ere myself.

I also went for a walk/photo session thing with Mr Anna which was nice because somehow I haven’t seen her for ages. Which is a crime really. I took hundreds of photos, every single one of which I will be putting on my tumblr. I kid.

Hey I made another cake.
The same one as on Sunday but bigger.
It looks way better now the topping and stuff has dried but I can’t be arsed to take another photo. Plus it’s now half-eaten.
Also, I hate this photo, 5 o’clock in Autumn is a bad time to make and photograph cakes for me since there isn’t much light coming from the window. So it’s all orange and ugly. Never mind.

Oh look I made another cake.
And it’s delicious, if a little flat (due to lack of ingredients).
It’s got lemon icing in the middle and lemon/sugar crunchy thing on the top like mah lemon drizzle has. I’m going to make it again when we have more ingredients because I really like the lemon icing.

Guess who made peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies? Yes, I did. But I couldn’t get any milk chocolate chips (outrage) and I didn’t fancy white so I replaced them with Magic Stars. Oh and check out the cake stand my grandmama gave me.
